Q1: When was this website started?
A1: On 04/27/05.
A2: HT is the science that studies energy interactions in human life. Subsequently, since:
and since HT is the science that understands these interactions, it thus owns the assignment to analyze, predict, model, answer, and to explain any question related to all of human phenomena!
Q3: Where is HT headed?
A3: In the near future, we as a society will be readily equipped to grant PhD's in human thermodynamics -- with the sole purpose to encourage research, investigation, and glide-path development for the betterment of humankind.
Q4: Why was this website started?
A4: The reasons are several fold:
2. To provide a link-up hub for HT researchers world-wide.
5. A site to submit any and all sorts of questions related to human phenomenon.
Q5: How was this website constructed?
A5: With the help of the web-site designers and builders at Homestead.com.
A6: Yes, thermodynamics as a science is based on the reaction where hydrocarbons react with oxygen to form carbon dioxide and water wherein resultantly heat (or energy in transit) is given of in the form of work. These terms, by definition, are molecules -- anything composed of two or more atoms. Humans, by definition, are large biomolecules that react together to form other new human biomolecules (as children) wherein energy in the form of work is released into the universe.
Q7: How can I learn more about this new branch of science?
A7: The publication of 'HUMAN THERMODYNAMICS', a 4-volume 1,100-pg book series, is slated to begin in the Fall/Winter season of 2005 - beginning with:
1. A pre-publication, 100-pg, synopsis minibook [Initial Cost = $19.95] entitled:

A9: The topics most pressing to modern-day humankind [as determined via polled opinion]:
C2S
CESSATION
VI
RELATIONSHIPS
FRIENDSHIPS
CONSCIOUSNESS
HEAT
WORK
LOVE
VII
PHYSICAL ATTRACTIVENESS
NEUROLOGICAL ATTRACTIVENESS
SPONTANEITY
REPRODUCTION
HOMOSEXUALITY
SATIETY
VIII

TIME
DESTINY
RELIGION
EVIL
TRUST
Q10: Why is the thermodynamics of cessation being presented first?
A10: There are several reasons:
2. A Three-Volume, 1,000-pg, Textbook Series entitled:

Q11: Is there any religious bias underlying Cessation Thermodynamics?
A11: No, it is straight textbook all-the-way down to the last fundamental particle. However, it is designed to be acceptable to all of the world's 19 religious categories and it has been market-tested, with each of these categories (by having a broad array of people read it), for visceral-acceptability.
Q12: When are the 3 main volumes of Human Thermodynamics [HT] to be published?
A12: After a substantial reader-base has been established via the cessation minibook; approximately:
VI: 2005, VII: 2006, VIII: 2007.
Q13: Have the three main HT volumes already been written?
A13: Yes, the main work, research, and writing of HT (volumes I-III) was done between 2001 and 2004.
Q14: What is the outline of the 3-volume, 1,000-pg, HT textbook series?
Q15: What do people think about HT and its applications to human life?
Q16: What do people who have no affiliation to this project whatsoever think about HT and its applications when a brief synopsis of its principles is dropped unknowingly into their lap?
A16: See: REACTIONS from a group of Wikipedia encyclopeda-mediators regarding an accidental encyclopedia-style HT SUMMARY article posted to its website.
Q17: From whence did the impetus behind the development of HT stem?
A17: The process was a series of steps:
1. People vote this topic to the most unanswered modern day conundrum. That is, when polled, people admittedly rank the question of 'existence following cessation' as the biggest unknown
.
2. The highest-selling book in the history of publication contains at its core:
'A tentative hypothesis concerning the whereabouts of a person following cessation'
3. According to market testing (people who have read the four HT books) the three most controversial topics are:
4. Reviewers who have read both Volumes I-III and C2S respond that C2S is much easier to read for the layperson.
5. When a person (or fortress) acknowledges an impending attack, it's only natural to fortify the weakest-link -- if the weakest link fails -- the rest will fail. In other words, the Cessation Thermodynamics is the weakest-link of the compendium; no scientist in the history of humankind has ever satisfactorily solved the riddle of consciousness in relation to cessation.
Q18: What are the symbol-choice, name-origination, formula-systematics methodologies used herein?
Q19: I am a HT researcher of sorts, how can I contribute to the development of HT as a new branch of science and to development of this world-wide HT-Website?
A19: Contact Libb Thims: libbthims@peoplepc.com - to establish a link of information exchange, to contribute articles, or to discuss theory, etc.
Q20: I've found an inaccuracy, typo, error, or bug on the website, how can I report it?
A20: To report typographical errors, problems with images, theory misinformation, etc., use the email address: questions@humanthermodynamics.com. Corrections usually appear within a few days.

4. On 12/05/02 Thims decided it would be in his own interest - tuition reimbursement - and societies interest to make attempts at writing up a short book to present this solution -- having never before had any inkling or desire to write.
7. On 01/23/05 Thims synthesized a near-to-coherent version of the Cessation Conservation Hypothesis - C2S -- owing to a bit of fueled inspiration from 20-year-old friend whose Mother and Grandmother were both murdered over the Holidays a month prior.
[boyfriend of mother attempted an insurance scam].

1. Libb Thims, in '95, as an undergraduate chemical engineering student at the University of Michigan, during a course called Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics II, was introduced to an equality called the:
∆G = ∆H – T∆S
Gibbs free energy equation
which is defined as: able to measure the spontaneity of any reaction. That is, in plain talk, chemical engineers use it to decide if or not a reaction is to be feasible.
2. Knowing intuitively that the process whereby a man [Mx] meets a women [Fy] resulting to bond in a relationship:
Mx + Fy --> MxFy
is a chemical reaction, Thims resultantly developed an incessant urge to figure out how the Gibbs free energy equation applies to human life, via using a sort of reverse-engineering, top-down, dissection methodology solving approach to the problem. In other words, in Thims' mind, rather than wasting one's time going out with multitudes of boyfriends and girlfriends with no pre-defined textbook game plan or generally agreed upon choosing procedure in efforts to find that perfect match, we should, in theory be able to use the Gibbs free energy equation to predetermine if or not a 'match' is going to work -- which is all anybody really wants.
3. On 11/15/01 @ 3:00 AM, while up memorizing anatomy and while reading Hawking's A Brief History of Time, Thims solved, as a first approximation, the Gibbs free energy equation's applicability to the human reaction mechanism, after seven year's worth of puzzle dabbling, using a sort of tabular plug-n-chug method whereby one variable was changed, while holding the others constant, so to observe its resultant effect on the change in free energy [G]; then doing the same with the other variables -- i.e., the 'before' and 'after' values of enthalpy [H] and entropy [S] when viewing the base human reaction mechanism with a reaction time of τ = 33 years - i.e. time per generation. See: Libbs' Human Thermodynamics VI-VIII for full derivation. A similar table is shown below, where APA stands for average physical attractiveness, and I stands for average neurological intelligence or intellectual attractiveness. Hence, either decreasing intelligence or decreasing physical attractiveness makes a pair-bonding reaction less likely to occur as indicated by smaller (negative) values of Gibbs free energy change.
FAQ #3: Can I pay to advertise on the any of the IoHT websites?
Answer #3:
FAQ #4: Can I use quotes from your website for my school research project??
FAQ #5: I just accidentally bumped into your site, what are you folks all about?
Answer #5: We are a growing, internet-linked, group of individuals (mostly scientists) that have a penchant for the study of thermodynamic and chemical applications of human life. In a nutshell, the laws of thermodynamics are the only physical laws of science that have a direct bearing on the process of human life. Human thermodynamics is a new, in development, science with this focal point in mind. The essential tool of thermodynamics is the ability to be able to predict human chemical reactions. In any standard chemistry textbook, for example, the chemical thermodynamics chapters are the ones dealing with reaction feasibility. The application of these principles to human life is the central focus of human thermodynamics.
FAQ 1: How do I join the Institute of Human Thermodynamics?
FAQ 2: Has the IoHT's ad policy changed?
FAQ #2: Has the IoHT ad policy changed?
Answer #2: Four of the members of the IoHT have joined to develop a new human thermodynamics based mate-matching/dating website (ReactionMatch.com), set to launch in 2010, that will match people based on free energy compatibilities (or affinity compatibilities) using the standard spontaneity criterion of chemical thermodynamics. Hence, we are testing ad-programs on a few pages (1, 2) to see their operation.
